Traditional, network-level DLP is highly focused on files. Armed with a file name, a cloud access security broker (CASB), might be able to prevent file uploads to the internet but can’t prevent file downloads from internal web applications. Password-protected files coming down from the internet can’t be inspected by a CASB or a secure web gateway (SWG), and often can't decrypt TLS traffic. Finally, traditional DLP cannot inspect browser page fields and corresponding GET or PUT operations.
These limitations clearly call for DLP integrated with browser security. Menlo last-mile DLP offers two distinct mechanisms to prevent data loss: browser-centric DLP and dictionary-based DLP for files associated with web traffic.

Menlo Security last-mile DLP leverages the Menlo Secure Enterprise Browser to close the security gaps left by traditional DLP. Last-mile DLP is included in both Menlo Protect and Menlo Secure.
Menlo DLP prevents data loss with two distinct capabilities: browser-centric DLP features and traditional, dictionary-based DLP, which is applied to files in any traffic flow seen by the Menlo Cloud. Menlo DLP with Menlo Protect prevents data from leaking out to the internet. Menlo DLP with Menlo Secure prevents data harvesting from mission-critical internal applications.
Copy-and-paste restrictions
Restrict copying from or pasting to web-form fields; gain control over GET and PUT operations

Watermarks
Organization-designed watermarks may be displayed on web applications or applied to downloaded files
Zero trust DLP with convenient exceptions
While many sites require DLP for most users, you can define exceptions to DLP rules for specific users or groups
Menlo Protect and the Menlo Secure Cloud Browser defend against browser-borne attacks. Menlo DLP examines every file passing through the Secure Cloud Browser, ensuring that sensitive data is prevented from being uploaded to the internet.
Menlo Secure works with the Secure Cloud Browser to offer zero trust access to applications needed by the hybrid workforce. Only the required applications are visible in each user’s portal. Menlo DLP ensures that sensitive data within these applications is prevented from being downloaded to users’ devices.
Menlo focuses on securing the browser, because that's where most enterprise work takes place
Discover why organizations around the world rely on Menlo Security to protect the enterprise and enable secure access to applications, preventing attacks that legacy security tools cannot stop.
